Hello everyone, I’m Kit Navock, proudly stepping into the role of CMO over at Immersed. A few months back, I found myself reflecting on the next chapter after selling my company. Like many who go through acquisitions, I pondered over what kind of projects and team dynamics would ignite my passion next. The answer came when I decided to dive in with Immersed—I’m all in as the new Chief Marketing Officer, totally aligned with where this company is headed. And for those who share this vision, there’s an opportunity to join us as investors as we continue on this exciting journey. First, though, let me share how I got to this point.
Immersed had piqued my interest early on. As one of the initial investors, I got to familiarize myself with the team over time through casual gatherings like movie nights, meals, and brainstorming sessions at their Austin hub. The respect I have for this group is immense—they’re not only incredibly intelligent but are also ambitious, down-to-earth, and unwaveringly focused on their mission.
A few months back, I reached out to Renji, Immersed’s founder, to chat about the latest basketball news. His response? “You should come work with us.”
I didn’t jump to any conclusions. Initially, I took the call lightheartedly. But even without knowing him well, Renji’s vision was compelling. The idea stuck, and over the next few days, it played over in my head. I connected with those whose opinions I value most, telling them about my current life—consulting, having sold my company, and enjoying a more relaxed lifestyle. Yet, this particular opportunity hit differently.
And they all echoed the same advice: go for it.
So here I am, accepting a role with a salary reflective of a longer-term journey, paired with equity that might take time to realize. It’s not a chase for quick gains; it’s about building something potentially transformative with a team I believe in. Experiencing firsthand what they’re developing was a revelation, and everything fell into place.
Let’s talk about the Visor—the XR device that defies conventional expectations. I’ll admit, I’m pretty new to the XR scene. While immersed in tech for years, VR and AR were newer territories. Unlike many enthusiasts who’ve been tinkering with setups since 2016, I simply dipped my toes in by seeing what Apple Vision Pro had to offer.
It proved useful—boosting my productivity. Then came Visor from Immersed, which turned out to be a revelation. Lightweight at around 186 grams, reminiscent of a chunky pair of sunglasses, it operates independently with dual 4K micro-OLED screens and has a 3-hour battery life. Tailored for practical tasks—like using VS Code, Figma, email, Blender, and streaming Netflix—it doesn’t just feel like an afterthought for a computer.
It’s not a developer’s kit. It’s not a toy. It’s not heavy, and certainly not priced at $3,499. Instead, it’s perfectly designed for real-world use.
Though still a newcomer in this field, I recognize that this isn’t merely a prototype. It’s the first headset that makes me think, “This is ready for the world to embrace.”
Immersed isn’t only an app anymore; it’s becoming a complete platform with Visor. It’s about spatial computing with a focus on deep, distraction-free work and native 3D tools. In my mind, this aligns with how Steve Jobs envisioned Apple—creating an all-encompassing ecosystem.
What truly solidified my choice was Curator AI, a co-pilot that anticipates my needs, minimizes context shifts, and subtly enhances my productivity. It’s a built-in feature, not an afterthought. It’s the integration that I always hoped Siri would achieve, but hasn’t yet.
With the merger of Immersed’s platform, Visor, and Curator AI, we are venturing into tangible augmented spaces. And since it’s OpenXR-compatible, developers can easily build new tools, agents, or even full applications.
This strategy doesn’t revolve around merely transferring desktop experiences into 3D. It’s about reinventing productivity in a spatial context, with AI integrated from the outset.
I joined Immersed not to simply discuss virtual spaces or avatars, but because I am convinced spatial computing will revolutionize how we operate and live. This combination—immersive environments with native tools and AI integration—is a powerful leap forward, unfolding faster than people might expect. The vision, technology, and people of Immersed make me believe in this change, which is why I am here.
This venture isn’t just for those experimenting on the side. Immersed is building something for engineers, designers, traders, artists, filmmakers—anyone tethered to a screen. As AI agents and robotics advance, the potential of a seamless spatial platform only grows.
Visor is more than just a headset. Combined with Immersed’s platform, it transcends being merely a virtual space. Curator too is beyond just an AI agent. Together, they shape a comprehensive ecosystem to elevate our capabilities.
We’re thrilled to share what we’ve been working on. If you’ve been looking out for the ideal headset—and the right company to drive it—here’s your chance.
