If you’re looking to download beta versions of Apple’s operating systems, the process is pretty straightforward. Start by logging into the Apple Developer Center website with your Apple ID—just once will do the trick. You don’t need to shell out for the Apple Developer Program membership, but you do have to agree to the Apple Developer Agreement terms.
Once that’s set, go to your headset and follow this path: navigate to Settings, then General, followed by Software Update. Look for the Beta Updates section and choose “visionOS 2 Developer Beta.”
Keep in mind, installing a beta OS means you should brace yourself for a few bumps. Bugs and instability are part and parcel of the testing phase, and there’s a slim risk your device might need a reset to factory settings. Some of your apps could act up or stop functioning altogether. On the upside, you’ll get a sneak peek at all the cool new features and tweaks ahead of the official release.
