This week, we’ve seen a stable top five (well, actually a top six) on the Xbox gameplay chart, but there’s an interesting twist with Far Cry New Dawn attracting more players now that it’s back on Game Pass. With a slew of major Game Pass releases on the horizon, we might witness some shake-ups in the top 40 soon enough.
Sniper Elite: Resistance continues to flourish since its recent Game Pass debut, nudging its way up to seventh place. If you’re undecided about trying it out, you might want to check out Sean’s glowing review. As we venture further down the list, Halo Infinite is making waves, climbing from 23rd to 17th position following its latest update.
Then there’s Far Cry New Dawn rejoining the ranks of the top 40, now sitting at 19th after making its way back onto Game Pass last week. On the flip side, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle took a tumble, sliding from 18th to 22nd. It’s a stellar game, but with all the forthcoming Game Pass offerings, balancing time for these big AAA titles can be quite the challenge.
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, which had a brief moment of glory thanks to its unexpected Xbox release a few weeks back, has now slipped significantly, landing at 24th from 11th. Similarly, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, another fresh addition on Game Pass, has dropped to 31st.
This week, we’ve also seen the return of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II at 33rd and No Man’s Sky at 36th in the charts. Both of these titles have had major recent updates that surely lured players back in. On the other hand, Eternal Strands, which was a day-one Game Pass launch, has fallen from 19th to 38th, and Hell Let Loose finds itself wrapping up the chart at 40th.
Looking at the top 40 Xbox Gameplay Chart for the week ending February 9, 2025, compiled using gameplay data from over 3.4 million active Xbox accounts (courtesy of Game Trends, formerly GameInsights), it’s a bit of a surprise not to see Kingdom Come: Deliverance II in the mix yet. Despite being a highly-anticipated sequel, its hefty RPG nature and lack of availability on Game Pass might be causing players to bide their time until they can fully dive in. If you’re embarking on this medieval saga, we’ve got some handy Kingdom Come: Deliverance II tips and a guide on how to find your trusty steed, Pebbles.
Looking forward, we’ve got some big names coming up, like the Xbox exclusive Avowed, along with other Game Pass entrants. What do you predict will crash the top ten next? Share your thoughts in the comments!
