### A Glimpse into the Iceshard Cliffs
The hunter and the Expedition Team are setting foot in a cold, new territory known as the Iceshard Cliffs. Here, you’ll dive into a chilly world swept by fierce blizzards and come face to face with its unique residents.
As you trek through this blustery domain, get ready to encounter icy fog swirling in the air amidst scattered debris, with something peculiar flitting through the freezing gusts above. When the weather turns, make sure to warm up with a hot drink to stay sharp.
Why do creatures here thrive despite the frost? Simply put, they’ve evolved to handle these frigid hazards expertly.

### The Monsters of Iceshard Cliffs
You’ll come across Hirabami, a fearsome Leviathan species boasting sharp tail claws and a cool trick—floating, thanks to the wind-catching membrane on its neck.
Our latest sneak peek also reveals a massive mystery beast taking on a swarm of Hirabami!
Look out for the return of Nerscylla, the Temnoceran, recognizable from previous Monster Hunter games. With one formidable strike from its unique horn, it takes down its prey.
In a thrilling climax, the daunting Gore Magala surprises Fabius and the Expedition Team with an intense attack.
What menacing challenges does the Gore Magala bring to the table? Prepare for an epic showdown in the full game!

### Arkveld Debuts in Second Open Beta Test (OBT2)
Mark your calendars! The second open beta will roll out in two sessions:

– Thursday, Feb 13th, 2025, 7:00 pm – Sunday, Feb 16th, 2025, 6:59 pm

This beta includes all the goodies from last November’s test: Character Creation, the Story Trial, and the Doshagma Hunt. After tackling Doshagma, explore more hunts in the scenic Windward Plains.
Moreover, OBT2 will present a chance to confront the notorious Gypceros, a cunning Bird Wyvern. Don’t miss engaging with this returning foe!
And here’s the big one: for the first time, you’ll get to square off with Arkveld in an advanced quest designed for daring hunters.

### Prepare to Hunt
OBT2 introduces the Training Area, accessible right from your base camp. Fine-tune your weapon skills to gear up for the thrilling escapades that lie ahead. Remember, this beta is only a taste, and adjustments will continue up until the game’s full release.
Form a Private Lobby for exclusive hunts with close friends, or enjoy the Online Single Player mode for some solo action with a touch of multiplayer via an SOS flare if needed.
Whether you’re a newcomer to these tests or eagerly returning for more monster-slaying action, OBT2 is your playground. It’s open to all PlayStation 5 users with a PSN account, no Plus subscription required.
Every participant in OBT2 will earn a Felyne pendant to jazz up your gear and a Bonus Item pack to use in the full game upon launch. If you’ve joined the earlier beta, you’re already in line for these goodies.
PS5 Pro users should note that while you can enjoy OBT2 on the Pro, the enhanced features will come with the game’s full version release day patch.
Raring to go? Characters crafted during both beta tests will seamlessly carry over to the full Monster Hunter Wilds game, although expect slight tweaks in character customization.
