The Molasses Flood, a studio based in Boston, has now officially joined forces with CD Projekt Red, the renowned Polish gaming powerhouse.
This announcement was made on The Molasses Flood’s website, stating that as of April 1st, the team is fully integrated into the company behind Cyberpunk 2077. The good news is that their previous games, The Flame in the Flood and Drake Hollow, won’t be affected by this merger, even after their acquisition by CD Projekt in 2021. The team is currently immersed in developing Project Sirius, a multiplayer experience within the world of The Witcher.
In a related turn of events, Damian Isla, the founder of Molasses Flood, has decided to step away from the studio.
“A change of this magnitude is certainly significant,” Damian shared in a LinkedIn post.
“For over a decade, TMF has played a crucial role in my life, and I take great pride in having contributed to something that endured as long as it did, especially in an industry that’s often challenging for small teams like ours. We created some wonderfully unique and lasting projects, and I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with some of the most talented and generous people in the gaming world.”
