Thunderful has unveiled their second developer diary for “Lost In Random: The Eternal Die,” set to launch on the Nintendo Switch.
This time around, Oskar Hanska, the narrative director, dives into the game’s story elements, focusing on character choices and the artistry of voice acting.
Formerly known as Thunderful Gothenburg, Stormteller Games is at the helm of this latest chapter within the eerie and delightfully twisted universe of Lost in Random, now reimagined as a rogue-lite action game.
In this thrilling installment, you’re challenged to navigate a gauntlet that’s as random as it is treacherous. It all begins when Mare the Knight ensnares Aleksandra, the ex-Queen, alongside her companion, Fortune, within the ominous Black Die. As you advance, you’ll have to outsmart monstrous pawns and navigate life-sized board games.
Your victories in this maze earn you treasures to boost your odds against Aleksandra’s captor. Yet, it’ll require both your cleverness and the help of your dice companion to ultimately escape this realm where evil rules and whims of randomness dictate your fate.
The publisher also sheds light on some standout features of the game:
Mastery Meets Chance: Dive into combat that oscillates between fast-paced action and strategic decision-making, sprinkled with a dash of luck.
Forge Your Playstyle: Equipped with four unique weapons and over 100 relics, you can mix powerful card-based abilities to craft devastating combinations. Plus, toss your dice companion into the fray to up the ante.
Ever-Changing World: Navigate through four diverse, procedurally generated realms, each packed with unique secrets and challenges. Get ready to face upwards of 30 enemy types and formidable bosses.
A Dark Fantasy Tale: Lose yourself in a fully voiced narrative, unfolding within a Tim Burton-esque world. Here, hauntingly beautiful landscapes come alive, set to an enchanting soundscape.
Set your calendar for its digital release, as “Lost In Random: The Eternal Die” hits the Nintendo eShop for Switch worldwide in the summer of 2025.
