Fireproof Games has launched their newest VR title, GHOST TOWN, following the success of their highly acclaimed game, The Room: A Dark Matter. Known for their masterful VR puzzle games, this latest offering is generating a lot of buzz.
Now playable on Quest 2 and Quest 3 headsets, GHOST TOWN is expected to roll out on PC VR and PSVR 2 later this year. Although a change of pace from The Room series, it keeps the studio’s hallmark focus on intricate puzzles and compelling narratives.
While the game taps into supernatural themes, it steers clear of traditional horror tropes. Instead, it focuses on creating an atmosphere filled with suspense and mystery, setting the stage for its challenging puzzles.
Developed over nearly four years, Fireproof Games describes GHOST TOWN as a major advancement. It features a cast of fully motion-captured characters, offering a richer, more immersive experience.
The game is already being celebrated for its impressive visuals, even on Quest headsets, transporting players to a beautifully rendered 1980s London.
Although there isn’t a confirmed release date for the PC VR and PSVR 2 versions, GHOST TOWN is currently available on Quest platforms for $30.
