A month ago, we shared some exciting news: Game Pass Ultimate members can now stream some of their owned games directly on TVs and browsers across smartphones, PCs, and tablets in all 28 countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) is live. Plus, we mentioned that, starting next year, you’d be able to stream games directly on Xbox consoles.
Guess what? Starting today, if you’re on the Alpha Skip-Ahead or Alpha rings, you get a sneak peek at this feature on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles.
Stream Your Own Game on Your Xbox Console
As an Xbox Insider with a Game Pass Ultimate membership, you can now stream certain games you own on your console outside of the usual Game Pass catalog. This feature is live in 28 countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) operates. Curious about the available games? Check out the full list.
The “Stream your own game” option on Xbox consoles means you don’t need to install your games to play them. This saves both time and hard drive space by letting you access your games through Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta).
To start streaming straight from your console, just head over to My games & apps > Full library > Owned Games.
You’ll notice that games ready for cloud play will have a cloud badge. For quick searching, use the filters: choose Filter > Ready to play > Cloud gaming.
When you’re ready to kick off, select your game and hit Play with Cloud Gaming.
Stay tuned—soon, you’ll be able to launch games directly from the Store app and stream through the Xbox app on Windows PC.
