Forza Horizon 5 is making its way to the PS5, as confirmed by Playground Games. If you’ve already mastered the achievements list on another platform and are eager to tackle it anew, you’ll soon be able to do so with PlayStation trophies. Although the official release date remains under wraps for now, PS5 fans can gear up for this popular racing game to hit shelves sometime in the spring.
Playground Games has broken some exciting news: Forza Horizon 5, once an Xbox exclusive, is heading to the PlayStation 5. This new version for PS5 is being developed by Panic Button, in collaboration with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games. Gamers can look forward to its arrival in spring 2025.
In a blog post, Playground Games expressed their enthusiasm: “The Horizon Festival is thrilled to welcome a new wave of players,” they announced. “With nearly 900 cars, more than 40 thematic game updates, two expansions, and a lot more on offer, our team can’t wait for PlayStation 5 users to dive into Mexico’s stunning landscapes and enjoy the Horizon Festival for the very first time.”
Similar to its Xbox counterpart, the PS5 edition promises the same extensive content, including the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions, which will be up for grabs along with all the earlier car packs.
Moreover, Playground Games is developing a “special new free content update for all platforms” titled Horizon Realms. This update aims to “offer players a chance to explore a curated selection of some fan-favorite Evolving Worlds, with a few surprises thrown in.”
