Cyberpunk 2077, the ambitious sci-fi role-playing game, has now sold over 30 million copies. This impressive milestone was revealed by CD Projekt’s chief financial officer, Piotr Nielubowicz, as reported by VGC, during the announcement of the company’s financial results for the quarter ending in September.
Additionally, the game’s eagerly awaited expansion, Phantom Liberty, has already seen more than eight million units sold.
Exciting developments are on the horizon for fans of the franchise. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to arrive on Mac devices soon, and another fascinating animation project set in the Cyberpunk world is currently in the works.
“I’ve got some fantastic news straight from Night City,” Nielubowicz shared enthusiastically. “Cyberpunk 2077 sales have surpassed 30 million copies, and Phantom Liberty has sold eight million units. These phenomenal figures really highlight the massive fan community and the strong interest in the Cyberpunk universe.”
He continued, “Both aspects are vital to us, especially since we recently confirmed that next year, the game and its expansion will be available on Mac devices featuring Apple Silicon chips. Moreover, I am thrilled to announce that we’re developing another animation project in the Cyberpunk universe, which will soon be released on Netflix.”
