Yesterday, Sony revealed the lineup for December 2024’s PS Plus games as part of PlayStation’s milestone 30th anniversary festivities. However, it seems fans are not entirely satisfied. Among the titles for the upcoming month’s Essential games is one that had already been available on PS Plus Extra but was removed earlier this year, meaning a substantial number of subscribers are likely already familiar with it.
Fans Think PS Plus Could Have Marked Their 30th Anniversary with a More Exciting December Lineup
The games announced for December 2024’s PS Plus monthly selection include It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem. It Takes Two was one of the titles included previously in the PS Plus Extra tier, only to be withdrawn earlier this year.
Browsing through the feedback on the PS Blog, gaming platforms, and social networks, it’s clear that players aren’t necessarily unhappy with the specific games. Their main concern lies with how the selection feels a bit flat given the significance of the anniversary celebration.
One user voiced their thoughts, saying, “For a 30th anniversary, this has to be one of the most uninspired, corporate gestures I’ve seen.” Another chipped in, “This is the first time I felt compelled to comment here; it’s that disappointing.” And yet another added, “I usually steer clear of negative posts on blogs, but this is just bad.”
While the detailed lineup for PS Plus Extra and Premium for December 2024 is yet to be revealed, Premium members have been promised three cherished classics as well as a game trial, so there may still be some surprises in store.
