With each victory, their special powers — useful both in combat and when unraveling the world’s secrets — are yours to wield.
Throughout your journey, putting your Synths to the test in battles earns them experience points, raising their levels. Each Synth has its own five-level journey of advancement, with distinct bonuses that make them stand out. As your Synth levels up, gaining additional experience becomes trickier. To unlock more abilities and make the most of your team, you’d better rotate through your collection often!
Take “Psitek,” for example. It can ignite torches right from the start, and at level three, its fire slash gains the power to obliterate projectiles – a handy trick for certain tricky dungeons. However, its subsequent level bonuses mainly beef up its battle prowess, so it could be smart to switch things up and select a different Synth to unlock fresh abilities quicker.
Early on in the game, you snag a boat previously owned by the researchers, ready to explore the wide-open Genesis Archipelago. This area is dotted with tiny islands brimming with treasures — think extra hearts, items to boost your stats, and currency to splash out in shops. If you’re not the patient type scouring every nook and cranny, feel free to zip straight to the major islands, where you can challenge and dismantle the scientists’ shady setups head-on.
While main islands host some formidable boss Synths, you might find these powerhouses lurking on bonus islands as well. Nabbing all 40-plus Synths is no small task, but each hidden spot in the Genesis Archipelago promises rewarding finds for eager explorers.
