Once again, we’re in for a longer wait before diving into the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Ubisoft has announced a new delay for the game, pushing its release to March 20, 2025. This gives fans some extra time to revisit previous Assassin’s Creed titles in preparation for the latest adventure.
In a recent statement, Ubisoft explained the reasons behind this decision. They reported needing “a few additional weeks” to ensure that players get a “more ambitious and engaging day-one experience.” This marks the second time Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been postponed. Initially scheduled for November 15, 2024, the game was first delayed to February 14, 2025, and now it’s been pushed back yet again.
Ubisoft shared, “Since November, we’ve been excited to reveal our progress through gameplay overviews, and the incredible feedback from our community has truly motivated us. Each week, we’ve received valuable insights. While we’ve made significant advances, we believe a few more weeks are necessary to incorporate that feedback and deliver an even more immersive experience on launch day.”
The revised launch date is March 20, 2025, and Ubisoft remains dedicated to offering a high-quality gaming experience, strengthened by constant interaction between the community and the development teams.
Despite the setback, recent weeks have shown that Ubisoft is deeply invested in refining various elements of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The game seemed to be progressing well, making this latest delay somewhat unexpected for fans eagerly anticipating its release.
