2K Games recently decided to eliminate its launcher from all titles available on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Just last month, they broke the news about wrapping up this piece of tech by November. In addition, they pulled a beta version out of Sid Meier’s Civilization 5.
In a blog post, 2K mentioned, “We’ve done most of the hard work, but there might be a small step left on your end to complete the process. Try closing and reopening Steam fully—not just minimizing it with the X. A quick reboot of your PC can make sure everything is reset properly. And for Epic users, just ensure you’ve got the latest game update downloaded.”
The update also means that games like BioShock Remastered, BioShock 2 Remastered, BioShock Infinite, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns will launch right away when you hit play, giving players a more direct and seamless gaming experience.
