Originally launched on PlayStation 2 as "Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army," this game has been lovingly remastered. Fans can expect a dramatic overhaul in graphics, an improved battle system, and the addition of voiceovers for the main storyline. Quality-of-life improvements also promise to make the gameplay more seamless.
The story kicks off when a young heiress makes a peculiar request to the Narumi Detective Agency: she asks them to kill her. Before explaining, she’s abruptly kidnapped. Raidou Kuzunoha XIV, an apprentice detective and covert Devil Summoner, takes on the case to protect the city.
As his investigation unfolds, Raidou dives into a sprawling adventure across the city, even venturing into the Dark Realm. This perilous intersection of reality and the netherworld is filled with demons. What begins as a routine missing persons case quickly escalates into a conspiracy threatening not just the city but the entire nation.
"Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army" is set for a global release on June 19, 2025, available in stores and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Pre-orders include a special Raidou Glasses bonus, allowing players to deck out Raidou with stylish Taisho-era eyewear in the game.
