DodgeCraft is the latest VR sports training game to hit the market, now available on Quest and PlayStation VR2. Created by INCISIV Ltd, a studio based in Belfast, this is their second offering following the success of CleanSheet Soccer. DodgeCraft combines rapid movements with strategic evasion to put your reflexes to the test. If you’re curious about how that plays out, take a look at the demonstration.
The game features two exciting modes. ‘Dodge’Em’ is all about physical movement, challenging you to dodge through an asteroid belt, skillfully avoiding meteorites by ducking and weaving. The other mode, ‘Run the Gauntlet,’ has you facing off against waves of crafty bots and humanoids determined to slip past you with clever tricks. For those who enjoy a bit of mixed reality, DodgeCraft has you covered.
According to INCISIV’s CEO, Professor Cathy Craig, the game’s concept comes from her personal sports experiences. Once an Ulster Rugby out-half, she often found herself hesitating when it came to tackling. She explains, “As a player, I would often hold back and not make the hit. DodgeCraft offers a great way to learn to anticipate and act decisively as a defender without running the risk of injury. In other words, it will let you train without the pain!”
For anyone eager to improve their defensive skills without the bruises, DodgeCraft is now available on both the Meta Quest platform and PlayStation VR2.
