It comes with refined components, extra options with paddle slots, customizable features like adjustable thumbsticks, and standard rubberized grips for a pro-level gaming experience. Customize Components
Once you’ve picked your controller, Xbox Design Lab offers 10 customization options to make your controller one-of-a-kind. Not sure what you want? No worries! You can preview your design anytime and save different versions in your gallery to compare later.
Body
The Body is your canvas, covering the entire front of the controller. With the Xbox Wireless Controller, choose from various matte finishes or unique patterns like the psychedelic Vapor design, striking Camo patterns, the vibrant Pride motif, or game-inspired looks such as the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. For the Elite Series 2, options include matte finishes and our new Cipher series with transparent cases to showcase the internal components.
Back
The Back design focuses on everything behind the grips. Choose to match it with the front or mix it up with contrasting colors. All standard colors for the Body are available here as well.
Grips
For a little extra, add rubberized grips on the back and sides of your Xbox Wireless Controller for enhanced control. These grips come standard on the Elite Series 2.
Bumpers
Choose the color of the bumpers on top of your controller. For the Wireless Controller, stick with standard colors or opt for metallic hues on the Elite Series 2 for a more striking look.
Triggers
Triggers are essential for gameplay control and come with a myriad of choices. Standard colors are available for the Xbox Wireless Controller, but you can also select metallic options for a touch of distinction. The Elite Series 2 offers even more metallic choices.
D-Pad
Pick a standard or metallic color for the D-Pad on your Xbox Wireless Controller. If you’re customizing the Elite Series 2, opt for the traditional four-direction D-Pad or the Faceted design. Add some flair with single-tone metallic or the new multi-toned Chroma options.
Thumbsticks
The Xbox Wireless Controller lets you select thumbstick colors from the full palette. With the Elite Series 2, customize the metal base color, and choose separate hues for both the thumbstick ring and topper.
ABXY Buttons
On the Xbox Wireless Controller, choose from seven designs, ranging from classic to two-tone treatments. The Elite Series 2 gives you even more freedom with 20 customizable options, including vibrant colored variations.
View, Menu, Share Buttons
For these central buttons, the Wireless Controller offers five designs, while the Elite Series 2 provides a spectrum of 24 color choices to complete your look.

Adaptive Thumbstick Toppers
In collaboration with community, charity groups, and a hospital involved in adaptive gaming, we offer 3D printable designs for adaptive thumbstick toppers. These files can be downloaded and printed to create thumbsticks tailored for various accessibility needs, fitting both Wireless and Elite Series 2 controllers. Soon, you’ll find designs for the upcoming Xbox Adaptive Joystick, set to launch in early 2025.
