Back in July, “Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable” made its debut in Early Access on the Quest platform, introducing players to its world with a single mission and a set of blades to unlock. It was clear that this initial offering was just the beginning, with promises of more content to come over the months. Fast forward, and developer UNIVRS has now unveiled the ‘Complete Edition’, featuring four chapters.
During our first hands-on with the game in July, it felt like more of a tech demo than a full gaming experience. Despite delivering a slice of the core gameplay, it offered just one chapter and an infinite wave mode complete with a scoreboard to keep things interesting.
Now, with the Complete Edition available, players are invited to dive back in to explore chapters three and four, wrap up with an Epilogue, and even face off against a formidable Armored Titan boss.
Excitingly, for the first time, you can also team up with friends in co-op mode, exploring all chapters together.
In tandem with the game’s full release, UNIVRS has teased an upcoming ‘Thunder Spear Unlock Event’ set for January, described as a “global challenge” by the studio. Looking further ahead, the developers have also promised a free update slated for 2025.
While our initial review earlier this year found the game to be “rough around the edges,” fans seem to have embraced it enthusiastically. As of now, “Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable” holds a commendable 4.5/5 rating on the Horizon Store.
For those who snagged the Early Access edition, Part 2 is now available as a free download. Newcomers can opt to purchase Part 1 for $8, Part 2 for $12 (with Part 1 required), or grab both parts together for a bundled price of $20. The game is compatible with Quest 2, Quest 3/S, and Quest Pro systems.
