The handheld gaming scene just got a spark of excitement as OneXPlayer teased their upcoming gadget on YouTube: the Onexfly F1 Pro. This new device is packing AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, part of the advanced Ryzen AI 300 series, known as Strix Point. The Onexfly F1 Pro, with its sleek 7-inch design, showcased impressive performance with Black Myth: Wukong running between 50 and 60 frames per second.
The standout feature of this device is its 7-inch OLED display that supports HDR and boasts a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Weighing in at 598 grams, the unit also comes equipped with Harman Kardon speakers, which promise a solid audio experience. The driving force behind its performance is the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU, which features an array of four Zen 5 cores, eight Zen 5c cores, and the latest Radeon 890M integrated graphics. This setup positions the Onexfly F1 Pro as a fierce contender among gaming devices like the Steam Deck OLED, ROG Ally X, and the Lenovo Legion Go.
In their showcase, OneXPlayer ran the Black Myth: Wukong benchmark at a 1080p resolution, with low-quality settings and 65% upscaling, effectively rendering at 1248 x 702. Under these conditions, the handheld averaged 58 FPS while maintaining a power consumption level of just 15W.
This model marks OneXPlayer’s entry into the realm of OLED displays and AMD’s cutting-edge Zen 5 mobile CPUs—a significant upgrade from their usual Intel or earlier AMD CPUs paired with non-OLED screens. Interestingly, the Onexfly F1 Pro is also one of the pioneering handhelds to feature Zen 5 power alongside the GPT Pocket 4.
When comparing the two, the F1 Pro is a pure handheld with traditional grips and controls, whereas the Pocket 4 offers a 2-in-1 experience, blending a keyboard with a rotating screen. The performance seen in OneXPlayer’s benchmark hints strongly that the AI 9 HX 370 is well-suited for handhelds, capable of running demanding AAA games even at a modest 15W power setting for longer battery life. With AMD’s next-gen Z-series CPUs still on the horizon, manufacturers are currently leaning on these Ryzen AI 300 series CPUs to push their gaming devices forward.
