Dead by Daylight Mobile is saying goodbye in early 2025. Publisher NetEase Games has announced that the mobile version will cease operations on March 20, 2025. Before that, on January 16, 2025, the game will disappear from both the Google Play Store and the App Store. But don’t worry if you’re a mobile player, because if you make the switch to playing on a PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or Nintendo Switch, you’ll be in for a treat with a welcome package full of rewards.
Originally, Dead by Daylight kicked off its haunting journey as a PC exclusive in June 2016. Since then, the game has expanded its eerie reach across multiple platforms. When Dead by Daylight Mobile launched back in April 2020, it quickly became a sensation, racking up over a million downloads within just 48 hours of hitting the app stores.
It’s been almost five years filled with thrilling chases and spine-chilling moments, but the journey for mobile players is nearing its end. As per a recent notice on the official Dead by Daylight Mobile news page, the last day to enjoy this portable horror experience is slated for March 20, 2025. So, if you’re eager to dive in or relive those gripping matches one last time, you’d better act swiftly. After all, the game won’t be available to download from app stores beyond January 16, 2025.
While the mobile version of Dead by Daylight is winding down, Behaviour Interactive, the developer, is far from closing the book on the entire game. The PC and console versions continue marching forward with fresh content. Mobile players making the transition to these platforms will find themselves greeted with a generous welcome package. This includes 500,000 Dead by Daylight Bloodpoints and 2,250 Iridescent Shards. Plus, depending on how much players have invested in game purchases, they could earn even more Iridescent Shards and Auric Cells, going up to 5,000 Auric Cells and 108,000 Iridescent Shards for those who have spent $200 or more. There are also up to two million additional Bloodpoints available based on the gamer’s accrued experience.
To collect these rewards, players must log into the mobile game and link their Behaviour Interactive account to their chosen platform before the March 20 deadline. Those already diving into the horror on both mobile and another platform can still claim these goodies as a token of appreciation for their loyalty.
