Gamers, gear up for a new challenge as a beloved engineering puzzle sandbox is making its way to the Quest platform this week. You’ll soon find yourself deep in the world of bridge-building as this title offers both virtual and mixed reality experiences on Quest.
Originally, Bridge Constructor Studio was supposed to land last week, introducing its bridge-building simulation to Quest in VR. It also allows you to craft, test, and tweak your creations in mixed reality specifically on Quest 3. Although the release hit a minor delay, December 12th is now the date to mark on your calendars.
The game comes packed with 70 puzzles in its campaign mode. Your mission? To safely deliver various vehicles across from starting point A to destination B. How do you achieve this? With a mix of construction materials like wood, steel, cables, concrete pillars, and roadways at your disposal, you’ll be engineering the bridges of your dreams.
While earlier versions of Bridge Constructor, and indeed its main rival Poly Bridge, had players working within budget and material confines, this XR edition chooses a different path. By default, you’re free from such constraints, though they can be enabled if you’re eyeing that “special award,” as advised by the developers.
Beyond the campaign, there’s more on offer. A Scenario Creation Mode lets your creativity run wild, providing the tools to design and experience your own bridge-building challenges. You can stash up to 40 custom levels in your player profile, making for endless fun and experimentation.
Created by ClockStone STUDIO, the minds behind both the flat-screen and XR adaptations of LEGO Bricktales (2023), and previous Bridge Constructor installments since 2011, this release promises a unique twist on an old favorite. Priced attractively at $10, it launches on Quest 2 and 3 on December 12th. Ready to get building? Head over to the Horizon Store to dive into the fun.
