Even during the six-month stretch ending September 30, 2024, they moved 4.72 million units. While this number shows a 31 percent dip compared to the previous year, Nintendo reassures that their sales remain strong, especially when looking at other Nintendo consoles during their eighth year on the market.
The Nintendo Switch has also hit a historic milestone, surpassing 1.3 billion game sales. This achievement sets a record for Nintendo platforms, with the company proudly stating that no other Nintendo hardware has seen as much gameplay.

Meanwhile, Super Mario Odyssey has reached 28.50 million sales, and the duo of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield has captivated 26.44 million players.
On the horizon, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet aren’t lagging too far behind with 25.69 million copies sold.
